Apple unveiled its iPad 2 Wednesday
Analysts are putting sales of the new iPad2 in the range of 400,000 to 600,000 units during its first three days on the market.
That’s about the same range that the original model sold in its first full week last April. In its first nine months on the market, the original iPad sold roughly 15 million units.
The new iPad costs between $499 and $829, depending on which model is selected.
Some outlets even report running out of the tablet and its accessories within minutes.
In North Carolina, lines were long everywhere on opening night as people waited to be among the first to receive the new iPad.
