Apple iPad Review

Build

The iPad truly is a beautiful devious. On look at it and you will feel that we have jumped forward twenty years into the future. The iPad's exteriors is a combination of aluminum and reinforced plastic. Like most Apple mobile devices, the iPad only has one button: the home bottom found on the bottom of the iPad when help in portrait. There is the usually audio jack for those who want to plug in headphones, and also a mic. The iPad speakers do their jobs, but they are not going to blow you away with their quality.

The iPad has the standard Apple external connector which is the only way you can hook up the iPad to other devious due to the lack of a flash drive. However, there are many devious that can connect to the iPad and more are being custom built for the iPad and should be coming out soon.

The iPad weighs 1.5 pounds. It is significantly lighter than a laptop, but much heavier than your average smart phone or mobile devious. You will begin to feel the exertion in your wrist after hold the iPad for about half an hour.

Display

The iPad display is truly something to see. It packs 1024x768 pixels in its screen which seems like a low number, but images are crisp nevertheless. The color and contrast on the iPad is really amazing. The iPad's one Achilles' heel is that in direct sunlight you will see a ton of reflection on the screen, and the screen which is back lit get hard to see. This is most notice able when videos with dark scenes.

Eye strain

The has been a lot of discussion about whether or not the iPad causes eye strain. Based on my own experience and the experiences of others who have tried the iPad, this is really a hit or miss thing. I do not get any eye strain from using the iPad even after spending an hour reading an eBook. However, if you plan on making the iPad your next eBook reader, I would advise you to go test out an iPad at the Apple store first.

Media Consumption

Media consumption was supposed to be the one thing that the iPad excelled at, and it does.

iBooks: iBooks is Apple's eReader that can be downloaded free on the iPad. It comes with a free sample of Winnie the Pooh. iBooks gives the readers a lot of options such as changing the text size or the brightness of the screen. iBooks does not have a huge selections of books yet, but it offers books in full color and the touch screen ui makes it fun to read.

Kindle: Amazon has made a dedicated app on for the iPad which always Amazon customers to access their eBooks or buy more from the Amazon store. The Kindle has about 340,000 more eBooks than Apple's own iBooks. You can now watch videos that are embedded in the eBooks.

Comics: I think that comics where made to be viewed on a tablet like device. The beautiful display of the iPad combined with the interactive touch screen makes reading a comic on the iPad almost more enjoyable than holding a physical copy in your hands. Marvel and DC Comics both have dedicated apps for the iPad where you can buy new releases. Japanese manga are slowly making their way to the iPad for those of you who are fans of manga.

Magazines: So far the magazines that have been released on the iPad have enjoyed huge success. Big names such as Time Magazine, GQ, and Wired have all made dictated apps for the iPad where you can download the latest edition. The magazine companies are really excited about the opportunities the iPad brings and are still experimenting with how they should deliver their content to their subscribers. The eMagazines still have a way to go with things such as ui and pricing, but you can expect them to get better with time.

Newspapers: The iPad is an ideal product for reading the latest news in the morning at the breakfast table or on a train on your way to work. USA Today, BBC, The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, and many more have already made their content assessable on the iPad.

Video

The iPad is an excellent device for looking at video's. There are many options of where you can get videos from. Off course you have iTunes which has a huge selection of videos that you can buy and upload to your iPad. With a paid subscription you can also access Netflix on your iPad and stream movies and shows. For you quick videos you can always head over to YouTube and watch movie trails or a funny clip.

Music

The way you access the music is a little different from the iPhone, but it is still simple and easy. Apple has simple merged its iPod functions into iPad. One of the strong points of the iPad is that you can create your playlist directly on the iPad without having to use iTunes.

Keyboard

The iPad keyboard is much bigger than the iPhone or iPod Touch virtual keyboards, and the extra room makes it a breeze to type on. Don't expect to be able to bang out a 10 page paper (although I've heard that it has been done) but for quick typing the iPad will get the job done.

Gaming

The gaming on the iPad is not for extreme gamers, but more so for the casual one. In fact, I've heard of dozens of people who haven't played games in years finding a couple that they really enjoy on the iPad. The iPad offers all of the classic board games such as chess and scrabble and you can even play multiplayer. Then there are games that were designed specifically for the iPad. These games are clever, challenging, addictive, and loads of fun. And did I mention cheap? Most games are free and none get more expensive then about $5.00.

Apples iPad Hype - Why it Was Worth the Wait

The Apple iPad has been touted as the next big thing in personal computing for months prior to it's release date. As a former staunch supporter of everything Microsoft, I consider myself to be one of the newly enlightened. Only recently converting to a Mac Mini for most of my applications, did I consider what a device like the iPad could do for me in terms of productivity. Following are five reasons that the Apple iPad successfully lives up to the pre-release hype, with a few minor quibbles in the interest of full disclosure.

*The iPad is revolutionary and has introduced a new way of computing

As with many Apple products, there are different price points (from $429.00 to $829.00, according to Apple's official site, depending on the model you choose). This aids in allowing more people to purchase the product, thus getting more people to buy the product and acclimate to the technology overall. What this means is that this very convenient way of computing will affect more people's lives in a positive way.

As an affiliate marketer, I appreciate the ability to take a break from my computer chair or couch/ laptop to have a lighter, more portable computing solution. As light as the iPad is, it can be a bit awkward to hold for long periods of time, depending on your position. The long rumored technology of flexible screens would be a giant leap forward. As innovative as Apple is, it wouldn't be ridiculous to assume that this technology would be implemented as soon as possible on the iPad.

*Easy web browsing from anywhere (just about)

The integration of the Wifi/ Wifi 3G solution for access has been a mostly successful affair, with the exception of some users complaining on message boards about problems connecting. Certainly a new product is going to have some bugs to work out and firmware/ other software updates will likely fix most users' issues. I personally find the dimmable backlight to be very handy for webpages that use a lot of bright space and graphics, which can be tough on the eyes. The lack of a webcam is a minor annoyance for some, but will almost certainly be provided on future models, allowing face to face chatting on your iPad.

*Most responsive screen

Although there are benchmarks set for screen responsiveness, the best experience for most people (myself included) is actual experience with the device. I am a fast typist, so I appreciate a keyboard that's easy on the fingers and can handle the speed with which I type. I have tried many touch screen keyboards and have always been disappointed with them, relegating them at least in my mind to acceptable use only on phones.

Especially when rotated to the landscape position, the keys are large (pretty close to full size and just about right for me) and spaced like a physical keyboard. Typing ahead of the buffer is a problem for me with many devices, but not with the iPad. Someone could make a lot of money inventing a system to keep the screen from getting so many fingerprints on it, which is one reason why I prefer a physical keyboard. The next generation iPad will be even better, if the leap forward in improvement from the original iPod to the iPod touch is any indication.

*The iPad is intuitive to use

This is the point where the engineers and designers working on the iPad should be congratulated. Just about anyone can pick it up and understand how to use it in just a few minutes. Especially if you're used to the iPod Touch or iPhone interface, this interface will come very naturally to you.

With just a few minutes, I was able to show an older adult in my life how to use the iPad. It bears mentioning that this person had a difficult time with both the iPod Touch and iPhone previously. I'd think a market would exist for older folks who like to have larger buttons to work with.

*The iPad is better than the Kindle for reading ebooks

Particularly for those of us who read a lot of e books, the previously mentioned dimming backlight makes the iPad easy on the eyes. Putting e books on the device is simple in the tradition of Apple user interfaces. As with other e book readers, the iPad supports different methods of doing just this and that make it a pleasure to use as an ebook reader. The entire layout of the iPad is superior to the Kindle, from the ability to rotate to a large screen. With some very minor (at least to me) quibbles that will likely be worked out in revisions to software, the Apple iPad has lived up to the hype preceding it's release.

iPad Reviews - Should I Buy An iPad?

You must have read a lot of good Apple iPad reviews to lead you to the decision to buy an iPad.

But before you finally dive into spending your hard-earned $500, it would be better if you also read some negative iPad reviews. This is not to discourage you though. Just like most iPad reviews, this review only aims to guide you towards knowing the limitations of iPad. If you think that these limitations still won't affect your needs for an iPad, then all the better.

Good and Bad iPad Reviews:

First, we might need to define "What is an iPad." In simple terms, an iPad is a tablet computer.

It is a mobile computer that is multi-touched, and is meant to be the iPhone's most superior version. If you own an iPhone, then owning an iPad next would be going to the next level for you.

Most people like the iPad's reliability and ease of use.

Most positive iPad reviews will center on iPad's being quick to start up, iPad lasts longer than netbooks, making it more reliable. It's battery lasts up to 10 hours while most netbooks only last 3 hours or so.

In addition, iPad compared to netbooks is way faster, getting your task done quicker. You can also instantly browse through and use thousands of apps meant only for iPad. No need for long software installations.

iPad is also compatible with iTunes and Netflix, providing all your entertainment you need.

iPad even makes for a great ebook reader, now with its iPad Kindle and VoiceOver text-to-speech feature. iPad also offers a two-page viewing for ebook readers - much like as you would when reading a real book.

iPad is also one of the most stylish gadgets in the market today. It's made of aluminum and not of cheap plastic like what most netbooks are made of. Not to mention this aluminum type of covering also adds to iPad's durability.

Adding to iPad's fanciness is that it is touch screen. You'll certainly feel techie-er with an iPad.

Lastly, iPad's screen is flippable - You can view the screen horizontally or vertically depending on what you're viewing. It simply offers the best viewing angle no matter what size of app you are reading.

Now iPad is generally a classy gadget and a must-have for gadget collectors; but while it has a lot of great advantages, it has a few little cons as well.

Here are some of iPad's known limitations:

First, you cannot watch flash player clips or videos with an iPad. Camera fanatics would also be disappointed because iPad doesn't have any faculties for camera. If you're also a frequent caller or texter, you also can't use iPad because it can't make calls to ordinary phones as well as can't send SMS messages.

Should I buy an iPad? - absolutely yes, if you find the above limitations minor, and find iPad's pros outweighing the cons in all the iPad reviews you read.

What iPad Case Best Fits Your Lifestyle?

Their perfect new iPads could get scratched, dented, smashed or broken with scary ease. For all these conscientious owners and others who simply want their iPads snug and safe and easy to carry around, these wonderful accessories called iPad skins or cases are a must!

Hard Shell and Soft Shell Cases

iPad cases come in a variety of hard and soft shells, sometimes made of leather with soft suede linings and sometimes of rip-stop nylon. These cases are absolutely essential accessories for iPads. The well-fitting hard cases are impact resistant and protect the iPad from physical damage, while the protective films keep that beautiful crisp display scratch-free.

Weather Resistant iPad Cases

There are weather resistant cases, which might look slightly bulky but have some really cool advanced features, besides being water-proof, UV resistant and keeping the iPad dry and clean in the worst conditions. The binder cases work like leather folders, with the iPad sitting comfortably inside one sleeve. A simple loop and a flap or a velcro strap usually closes the case like a book or a diary. They are stylish and very suitable for office executives.

Our favorite weather resistant iPad case is the Sleevz Form Fitting Optex Sleeve. It protects the iPad from the elements and also gives it a more modern look.

Carry and Courier iPad Cases

For lesser mortals there are carry cases or courier cases, both available in a variety of splendid colours. Carry cases are neat zippered bags that look just a little more serious than purses. They have comfortable straps and handles that contribute to the ease of carrying the iPads, without fear of the bag slipping out of one's hand. Courier cases come without the straps and fit tightly around the tablet. These pocket sleeves are well padded and once the iPad is zipped in, the case then can be dumped into a backpack without worry and is good to go.

Skin iPad Cases

Skin cases, those light and flexible protective shells, which allow charging and synchronising of iPads while still in their cases, are extremely popular amongst the iPad owners. They fit like a second skin, are tear resistant and are usually seen in funky, bright colours. They are also available in more sober hues.

Standing iPad Cases

The standing cases do exactly as their name suggests and prop up the iPads for movie or TV show viewing. These cases are very cleverly made; they protect the tablet in the form of a closed case and then separate the two sides to flip into a stand. They are perfect for owners who use the iPad mostly for visual entertainment.

One of our favorite standing iPad cases is the Sprout Creations Wood Shellcase made by VersAudio. Each case is designed to allow full iPad functional access while in use, anda soft inner lining and durable wood exterior to ensure the iPad is protected.

Grip iPad Cases

Grip cases are very like skin cases, but also allow users to hold their iPads safely by augmenting the edges into wings that can be firmly grasped or frames that make it easy for owners to grip them securely in any position. Their designs are ideal for classrooms and households with active, curious children.

The Trident Kraken Hybrid Case is one of the most popular grip iPad cases.

Every individual iPad owner has individual requirements that the iPad case makers have tried to address in their designs. The market is flooded with options, so that the cautious new owners only have to look for what they want and most definitely they will find it.

iPad Touch - Apple's Latest Fruit

Is there anyone who doesn't want to have an iPad touch?

Apple has once again produced a fruit of genius---the iPad touch. The fresh product of Apple, iPad touch, is one of the most coveted multi-purpose devices that allow users to peruse the Web, use email, play music and games, store pictures and watch videos, TV and movies. The iPad touch looks very like a bigger iPhone, but is not simply an iPhone. It also features a portable or a netbook but it is smaller in comparison to that. In fact, iPad is a new, exciting technology that works as a full laptop and an iPhone yet is a class all its own.

In addition, the device is 0.5 inches thick and weighs just 1.5 pounds - lighter than any netbook and includes a 9.7-inch LED-backlit display with IPS technology. It also includes a 1GHz Apple-built A4 processor which incorporates the CPU and graphics. It's got a 178-degree viewing angle and sports a 1024768 pixel resolution display at 132 pixels per in.. That implies iPad permits you to execute things you can't do on any other machine. Plus it has the following features for such a sleek and light device:

Safari

The large multi-touch screen on iPad lets you see webpages as they were intended to be seen - one full page at a time.

Mail

by using a split-screen view, you can see both an opened email and all the messages in your mail.

Photographs

iPad is an extraordinary way to enjoy and share stills. For instance, you can collect and display your stills in an album like they're in a stack. You can flip through your photos, zoom in or out, watch a slideshow, or even use iPad like a digital photo frame. One of the other good features of iPad is easily importing and synchronizing stills from your personal computer.

Video

any sort of video can simply be observed on the big and high-resolution screen on the iPad. IPad has a huge screen with no buttons and no other distracting features. So you can watch your HD movies, television shows or any videos by feeling completely immersed.

iPad is integrated with iPod apps.

iTunes

To skim and buy podcasts, TV shows or music, just tap on the iTunes Store icon. You will quickly find thousands of television shows, movies, songs and podcasts. iPad also enables you to preview songs before you purchase them.

App Store

iPad is virtually integrated with 140.000 apps from the App Store. By drumming the App Store icon on the screen, apps can be perused, bought, and downloaded wirelessly without delay to the iPad.

iBooks

iPad offers us another a great way to read or buy books.?t is even possible to see topography with the new terrain view. But there's more: you may also search for a close-by business type and tap the business to see the route and directions from where you are.

Notes

iPad uses an expansive display and large, onscreen keyboard to make jotting down notes straightforward for you.

Calendar

iPad supplies the calendar you need by showing Day, Week, Month or List perspectives. In this fashion, iPad allows for a top level view of a whole month, or the details of a single day.

Spotlight Search

you can search your mail, contacts, calendar, iPod, and notes across iPad. Its spotlight Search feature even permits you to search apps you have downloaded from the App Store. This allows you to quickly find what you're trying to find. I mean, just imagine how such a light contraption could carry a large amount of hi-tech features in its body; you certainly won't expect it to be as inexpensive as you want it to be. Or certainly you could not expect Apple to create such a device only to give away free iPad touch to us, right?

However, there are sites that offer to offer you free iPad touch if you complete their offers and if you are actually prepared to have one, you can check for free iPad touch offers in the net; Or if you can afford to purchase one, why not? Either way, the iPad touch will not give you any regrets for purchasing it. I suspect those wonderful features, fascinating and classy design is reason enough as to the reasons why you should buy one right now!

The iPad Vs the Laptop

The iPad vs the laptop, users must ask their self if this is a fair challenge. People believe the iPhone and iPad should behave like a normal computer, which will never happen, however the iPad still carries a heavy punch. In this article, I will attempt to show you how the iPad still gives the laptop a run for its money.

Weight and Size:

The iPad weights 1.6 lbs and is just a half-inch thick, making it thinner than most laptops. This makes the iPad easy to store when traveling or while on the go during a crazy workday. The iPad's size also makes it airport friendly because it is easier to stash and carry than most laptops. I know that we all have had are struggles getting a laptop through airport security.

Battery life:

The iPad's battery is an awesome 3.75V, 24.8 watt-hour, which provides 10 hours of quality use and enables charging the iPad faster than charging via USB from a laptop. A fully charged iPad battery also means you do not have to carry that clumsy laptop adaptor around for the laptops daily charging while at work.

Functionality and Practicality:

Functionality and practicality is a big factor when comparing the iPad vs the laptop.

Although the iPad takes the form of a tablet rather than that of the laptop, there is still some fair competition out there for functionality between the two. The laptop which opens up to an actual keyboard making it perfect for those users who use keyboards often, while the iPad is a tablet and has an on-screen keyboard, users still say they were surprised to find that they typed at about the same speed on the iPad vs. the laptop.

Another benefit of the iPad is it's screen can be seen from almost any angle, while the laptop as you know cannot, however If there is a light source in the room, the shiny iPad screen will pick up that glare.

Security:

The one glaring issue of the iPad is its security; I know most of you people are aware of a security breach that exposed iPad owners including dozens of CEOs, military officials, and top politicians this past year. Apple has tried to fix this issue, however Jack Gold of J.Gold Associates questioned whether encrypted data stored on the iPad would be safe from hackers.

In my own opinion, I find the iPad more comfortable and ideal for watching videos, surfing the Web and reading electronic books vs. the laptop. I can hear you people screaming, "The iPad doesn't even have a built-in webcam," relax, Apple has promised future versions of the iPad will have a built-in webcam, maybe the iPad 2?

So which one should you choose? Laptops have their benefits, but so do iPads, when the question arises iPad vs. laptop, it is up to the users preference and what he or she is willing to sacrifice in comfort-ability and functionality.

Choosing the Best Places to Find Used iPads for Sale Online

People today enjoy using the internet to buy things online with as they know they can get them cheaper when buying online as opposed to buying the same product in store on the high street. Website owners, small and big businesses alike reward their website visitors with items cheaper than are priced in store. And the same applies for many items you buy online this way.

But there's also a way to get things cheaper when you buy them used or in a refurbished or second-hand condition. Such as when you buy a used Apple iPad. You can save money buying used as the price will most certainly be lowered and sometimes at a very reasonable amount. The same iPad that can be purchased from a major retailer or iPad reseller can often be purchased online from a private seller or independent iPad seller for a fraction of the price you would pay so big cash savings to be had.

When buying used items online through such people or iPad sellers such as these there is the risk that your iPad may perhaps somehow not work as good or in the same way as a brand new never turned on iPad might work. But fortunately for many people who have purchased used iPads have found this is not the case. The Apple iPad is a sound and solid invention that holds together very well and is sure to keep going for a long time provided used correctly.

Even still this is not too much of a problem because many of the used iPads for sale that can be found online often still have the original warranty with it that may have some time left. Or the seller you are buying it from may even put their own warranty or after care package on your iPad. Or you can even take out some kind of protection insurance on your iPad safe in the knowledge that any breakages or technical problems you may come across will be quickly replaced or sorted out.

And there are many reasons why people might want to buy a used iPad. To save money being the most obvious choice. To try out the iPad first but not being too sure if you will like it or not. The iPad is very hard to put down and although never meant to be a true replacement for the laptop or netbook truly has a place in the homes and hearts of many people since its first launch and release and is finding its way into the lives of many people in our homes and workplace environments all throughout the world.

With its revolutionary HD 9.7-inch LED-backlit glossy widescreen Multi-Touch display with IPS technology and Fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating. Gyro and Accelerometer sensors. Wi-Fi and 3G connections. Massive 64GB HDD storage space. More Accessibility thanks to all the Apps available and huge Multimedia options supporting many audio and video formats. The iPad is a sure winner with many people through to many different ages also for all the abilities it has.

And there are many people who have also thought so but for whatever reason can no longer keep their old or slightly used iPad and may now wish to sell it on. You can find these people selling used iPads for sale online easily enough. We list the best websites and places to use to find them. And things to consider or avoid when using such sites to buy used iPads through. My 12 Favorite Apps for the iPad - January 2011 Edition

Every few days I am asked what are the best apps for the iPad and what my iPad favorite apps are. In fact, last May, I wrote about My 12 Favorite iPad Apps where I called out 12 of the best apps for iPad so I thought I'd revisit the list to see if my favorites have changed. As expected, my top apps for iPad have evolved over time. For example, only three of the twelve iPad apps have remained on my list for best apps for iPad including Kindle, Zinio and Mail.

#12 Starting at #12, iBooks makes the best iPad app list. The one and only reason iBooks made my iPad apps favorite list is because iBooks provides an excellent interface to store and read PDFs.

Having used several PDF readers including the popular GoodReader for the iPad, I prefer the way iBooks stores the PDFs showing the PDFs cover in the library view and the ability to sync via iTunes or attached to an email that you open and send to the iBooks app and these features make iBooks one of the best apps on iPad.

There are a few features in iBooks I don't use including the fact iBooks provides access to Apple's iBookstore which allows you to download and read the latest books and classics. Additionally you can make notes and highlight passages in your eBook and use AirPrint to print the PDF with your notes included.

#11 My next best app for iPad and latest obsession/time sink is Words for Friends HD. If you have not heard of Word for Friends, you must be the only one! Words with Friends HD is a crossword game (think Scrabble) that is socially played against friends with a NewToy Inc account. While there is an iPhone app for Words with Friends, the larger screen of the iPad allows better vision across the entire board allowing me to smoke my foes!

#10 The iPad app on my iPad favorite apps list is one of the best iPad apps for kids available and my four year old daughter's favorite iPad app. DressUpBaby provides an intuitive and simple interface for my four year old daughter using cute characters and funky clothes and accessories. I randomly receive outfits emailed from my daughter using the camera function on one of her top apps for iPad.

#9 Next on my list of iPad best apps is also one of my iPad productivity apps. Remoter is a VNC (Virtual Network Computing) client for the iPad that provides the ability to virtually control your desktop over the network from your iPad. I've used the client to control both Windows and Mac machines, but VNC will also work with various UNIX flavors. This app has saved me too many times while I'm out but needed something from work making this one of my best iPad apps.

#8 Whistle turns my iPad into a networked conference phone making this app high on my best apps for iPad. I use Whistle as a client for an Asterix PBX, a 3rd party SIP service) that allows me to make a call from the "office" anywhere that I have an Internet connection. Whistle provides integration with my Contacts (which is synced with Google's cloud) and with the latest iOS loaded I can continue Whistle calls in the background as I continue to use the iPad. Speakerphone works amazingly, but Whistle also supports the Apple Headphones allowing you to answer calls with the center button. This app enables business and is one of my top productivity apps for iPad providing a business tool to work virtually.

#7 Kindle constantly makes everyone's best iPad apps list and is no exception for the Geeks favorite apps for iPad. The Kindle app provides an easy to use interface and provides access to Amazon's Whispersync service to automatically sync your last page read, bookmarks, notes and highlights across your Kindle devices. The Amazon Kindle store provides over 800K eBooks at the same price or better than other eBook retailers.

#6 Next on my best apps for the iPad list, Toodledo provides access to my cloud-based task manager service and provides easy access to my to do list. Apple ranked Toodledo in the top 30 paid iPad apps of all time, and in the top 200 for iPhone - Jan 2011 and is one of my favorite iPad apps and one of my top productivity apps for iPad.

#5 Evernote is another cloud-based note service that is one of my top productivity apps for iPad and one of the best apps for iPad. The Evernote iPad app provides my primary interface to take and view notes, including voice notes, while I'm not in my home office. Evernote then automatically syncs with the cloud-based service so you can view the notes on the iPad, one of the desktop Evernote applications, or the web. The Evernote app was inducted into the Apple "App Hall of Fame", on the NY Times "Top 10 Must-Have Apps" list and has been the winner of the Best Mobile App Award from TechCrunch, Mashable and the Webbys and, in my opinion, one of the best apps on iPad.

#4 One of the included apps, the Calendar app, is one of my most used and therefore one of my iPad favorite apps. The Calendar iPad App is laid out well and keeps my schedule straight by syncing with Google's cloud-based calendar service.

#3 If you subscribe to Netflix, you should have one of the best iPad apps available to access the service with the Netflix app. The app provides access to your Netflix account to instantly watch TV shows and movies streaming from Netflix as part of your Netflix unlimited membership. I use this app almost nightly to watch TV shows and is one of the best apps on iPad.

#2 Zinio is one of my favorite apps for iPad and using Zinio I receive all my magazine digitally instead in the mail as the Zinio iPad app provides thousands of magazine titles with special interactive and graphical features synced directly to your iPad. I started using Zinio over 5 years ago, and those archived magazines are available through the Zinio app!

#1 Ever since getting the iPad, I've used the device as my primary means of obtaining most of my work and all of my personal email using the included Mail App and therefore, Mail is my best iPad app. The interface is great for a tablet and thanks to the portable nature of the device, the Mail App helps maintain my quest to maintain a zero inbox.

The iPad Reviewed

The iPad is a brilliant concept: a computer driven solely by your touch. Since the announcement of the iPad on January 27, 2010, no device has generated so much hype. iPad rumors ranged from running Mac OS X to having a built in camera. This article will provide facts and dispel rumors. And with all the Internet Hype going on you sure will need to have the rumors dispelled and the facts outlined.

The iPad has a 9.7 inch multitouch LED (backlit) display, a pixel resolution of 1024x768, an A4 processor, 16-64 GB of flash storage, 802.11n Wi-Fi support and Bluetooth 2.1. The iPad comes in 2 flavors: a WIFI only version and a WIFI+3G version. The iPad weighs roughly 1.6 Lbs. Like its predecessors it has an accelerometer and runs on iPhone OS (albeit a slightly modified version). The iPad claims 10 hour battery life although the settings used to achieve that are not known. There are several criticisms with these features. Why was iPhone OS was used instead of MAC OS? Mac OS is not optimized for the multitouch display like the iPhone OS. Another criticism concerns the A4 processor. The A4 processor contains the same graphics chip as the iPhone 3GS, yet its only 400 mhz higher. Will the A4 processor support the higher resolution without bugs or crashes? The iPad is running on a 4:3 aspect ratio. This aspect ratio is great for reading books and browsing the web, yet it will be problematic for watching movies -- the letter boxing would be too big

The Criticisms. The Three big criticisms concerning the iPad are: its lack of flash, its lack of multitasking and its lack of a camera. The lack of flash is officially explained by interfering with the battery life of the device. Unofficially, there are several possible explanations. The first one guesses that Apple wants to retain a strong control of its AppStore. Enabling flash will allow users to get applications that are normally sold on the AppStore for free and thus undermining Apple's profits (no longer the $99 developer fee). The second guess states that Apple wants to be the herald of the new HTML 5 technology. Seeing the popularity of the iPad, developers will want to jump on the HTML5 bandwagon to maximize profit. Although flash is predominant in the web today, HTML5 will slowly eat away at Adobe's monopoly and nevertheless, there is nothing a good jailbreak can't fix. The lack of Multitasking is also an issue. Multitasking is actually already present in the iPhone OS 3.0, but it is only restricted to Apple's Apps. This is done for security reasons and battery reasons. An Apple Insider has announced that Apple has already announced the solution to the multitasking problem, perhaps the new "long tap" gesture will bring out a "task manger"--like interface. Once again, nothing a jailbreak can't fix (backgrounder+Proswitcher for the iPhone). Another concern for potential consumers is the lack of camera. One should expect things like this from Apple - a camera is something they would be adding to the Generation 2 iPad to promote sales. A camera shouldn't be the selling point, however for the consumers who absolutely need a camera -- a 30pin attachment camera is rumored for the iPad

The Good. The iPad was never meant to be a netbook substitute. A netbook is a small buggy device. The iPad provides a closed, fluid and stream lined experience. There are tablets that are technologically superior to the iPad (HPSlate and Notion Ink's Adam). However these devices are not optimized for the Mobile Platform. The HPSlate is running on Windows 7, an awkward choice for a touch oriented device. Notion Ink's Adam is running on Android 2.0, however it is run on a Pixel Qi screen (colored e-ink) -- not a good substitute for LCD. The iPad is a closed system, so no annoying bugs and viruses (imagine a virus on a Tablet). The iPad comes with access to an already populated AppStore. Whatever your interests are 140,000+ apps will surely suit your every need. The iPad sacrifices some of its Technical Features to provide an experience that someone as young as a child or not tech oriented as a senior can enjoy.

As of March 12th, the iPad could be preordered. Should you pre-order an iPad? I would advise against it. Wait a few days after the iPad's Official release (April 3rd for USA and slightly later for other countries) and watch a few videos to get the general feel of the device. Wait for all the hype to settle and decide whether it is your type of a device. Which version should you buy? I would recommend the 3G - there is nothing like having the Internet at your fingers, however if you plan to use the iPad at home, the Wifi version should do just fine. The iPad is a revolutionary new device. Don't be left behind

IPad Videos - All About Apple IPad

There are many reviews, iPad videos and much gossip about Apple's new iPad. Most of us are not familiar with the iPad Touch as it is a fairly new product. Apple's new venture into the tablet computer can be misleading and confusing.

One version of the iPad is quite like the iPod touch, accessing the Internet solely through Wi-Fi networks, while another version is more like the iPhone 3GS, with Internet access through the Wi-Fi and 3G cellular towers.

Both of these versions of the iPad competes with Amazon's Kindle as a book reader, netbooks and iPods as a video player, web browser, and e-mail device, and all computers as a personal organization and content creation tool, of course with its pros and cons. Believe me, I have watched hours of iPad Videos on everything iPad.

The quality of the new iPad is excellent. The aluminium back feels great and it does not appear cheap. There is an audio jack connector for headphones, and a microphone for apps that need it. The speaker is on the bottom of the device where the "Home" button is. The audio quality is not the best and the maximum speaker volume is a bit too soft for myself. The iPad is also heavier than most people expect: at 1.5lbs to 1.6lbs.

The has a resolution of 1024x768, and it has a seemingly low pixel density compared to select high-end smartphones. In direct sunlight, you will find a good amount of reflection, overall, the iPad display is OK, especially if you are looking at an image with bright colours. The iPhone 3GS display is slightly better in direct sunlight then the iPad.

Apart from watching all the iPad Videos, I have been lucky enough to have had a look and short play with an iPad, and it was a lot more exciting then watching hours of iPad Videos.

People will get many features of iPhone and iTouch form different devices with higher specs and lower prices - but that doesn't mean a thing better then iPad because it did exactly what people needed perfectly, millions of people have chosen the iPad over more powerful devices for the same reason.

iPad Information

iPad information is not hard to find, unless you have been on another planet, you must have heard about the revolutionary iPad. With the release of the iPad 2 scheduled for late spring, this article will get you caught up to speed on everything that you have been missing.

Like I said iPad information is everywhere, there are almost 70 million searches a month for this glorious tablet. That's right the iPad is a tablet, not a computer nor a gloriied iPhone or iPod, although it does run the same operating system as the iPhone and iPod. Many people also mistaken the iPad as just an e-reader, however the iPad can accomplish many things a e-reader can't. Do you like surfing the web? That's right the iPad can tackle the web with ease. Accessing the internet on your iPad is really simple, and surfing the web with safari on iPad is the most exciting adventure you will ever experience.

Some iPad information that you might have missed, is this remarkable tablet pc has the ability to run thousands of apps that you maybe use to if you ever used any Apple products in the past, the iPads large display and onscreen keyboard, makes any boring app come alive right before your eyes. I do suggest you jailbreak your iPad, a jailbroken iPad basically means a hack that helps you obtain any programs you like. In other words, you can gain access to thousands of illegal apps, like Mywi, this remarkable app allows you to turn your iPad into a WiFi hotspot. It basically lets you connect multiple devices and share your iPad 3G's internet connection. This app alone is worth the price of admission, and the main reason I jailbroke my iPad.

If you like video's there is a YouTube app made just for your iPad. This amazing app makes video's more interesting to watch. Speaking of videos, if you're looking for something that converts videos for ipad, you will have to obtain a video converter, there are places on the web where you can find this service for free, however beware you may need a little technical knowledge to accomplish this task. Some more amazing iPad information you maybe not have heard of is that you can now watch TV on your iPad, I told you the iPad was revolutionary!

Now the iPad maybe revolutionary, there are still some things that it could possess, this is why I'm losing sleep awaiting the iPad 2's release this spring. I have made a wish list of what I want the iPad 2 to have.

1: Dual cameras

2:More Internal Storage

3:A USB Port

4:Drop the weight to about 1lb

Before I named this article iPad information, I was going to call it iPads 4 idiots, because the iPad is very simple to use that even idiots could master it, however I thought that title was a little harsh.

The Apple iPad As an Ereader

From the time when it was little more than supposition the Apple iPad has been one of the most rumored and hyped about gadgets ever. After the official introduction of the iPad by Steve Jobs on January 27, 2010, one of the constant themes in the media coverage has been about how the iPad will make dedicated ereaders obsolete.

Now that the iPad has been out for a while and we have been able to use it we can make some more informed judgments as to what its strengths and weaknesses are. Here I will look at the iPad in terms of how well it performs as an ereader.

First of all, the display of the iPad is gorgeous. The color LCD display is beautiful, the touchscreen is very responsive, and the iPad is quite fast. These features make the iPad not only very good for watching video, viewing photos, browsing the Internet, gaming and other such activities; they also make it very well suited to reading magazines, newspapers, comics and illustrated books.

Magazines and newspapers also benefit from the interactive approach that is possible on a device such as the iPad. Being able to tap a hyperlink to reach more in-depth reading about a story or to access additional illustrations is well suited to reading periodicals.

Reading PDF documents on the iPad with an app such as GoodReader also works very well. Panning and zooming with your fingers on the multitouch display is very quick and works well. Unfortunately, while the iPad is very good for viewing PDF documents, most of the apps are not capable of editing or making annotations. Generally speaking, I have found the iPad to be best suited for viewing content and less well suited to creating and editing content.

But what about reading ordinary books that are mostly if not entirely text? The aspect of reading books on the iPad that I like best is the access it gives you to eBooks from different sources. Besides iBooks, which is the reading app from Apple and which seems mainly oriented to those who prefer titles from the bestsellers lists, there are also the Kindle for iPad app, an app from Kobo Books and a Wattpad reading app. An app should also be forthcoming soon from Barnes and Noble. This gives you access to the Kindle Store as well as to eBooks with DRM supported by Adobe Digital Editions.

The Kindle for iPad app is good as it not only gives you access to the best eBook provider (currently with over 500,000 titles), but will also sync your last read page with your Kindle ereader or the Kindle apps for other devices. This is also the only eBook reading app at the moment that lets you take notes on your reading.

While the iPad does work very well for reading illustrated books and magazines, there are some drawbacks to using it for reading regular books that are all or mostly text. First of all, at one and a half pounds, the iPad weighs considerably more than most ereaders. This fact makes it less portable and less comfortable to use in some situations. Holding the iPad with only one hand does not work very well. If you commute by public transit, it will be harder to use an iPad on a crowded train or subway car.

Most ereaders with e-ink screens have a battery life measured in thousands of page turns and usually need to be recharged every ten days to two weeks. The iPad battery lasts ten to twelve hours.

The iPad is pretty much unreadable outdoors in the sunshine. In a shady location outdoors the screen is readable, though you will probably find yourself tilting the screen to find the most glare-free position. There have as well been early reports of the iPad overheating when used in sunshine. Dedicated ereaders with e-ink screens are perfectly readable outdoors in sunlight or shade - if you do a lot of your reading at the beach a Kindle would definitely be a better choice than the iPad!

Some of the dedicated ereaders such as the Kindle have a free 3G connection you can use to browse and purchase eBooks and then download your selections directly to your ereader within a few seconds. With the iPad Wi-Fi obviously you will need to be able to connect with a wireless network. With the 3G version of the iPad (which starts at over $600) you will need to pay a monthly fee for the connection.

Only iBooks (which only has 60,000 titles to start) will let you purchase eBooks from within the app. If you are using the Kindle for iPad or another ereader app you will be dropped into a browser to shop the app's eBook store rather than from within the app itself. When finished shopping you will have to restart the reading app. This can be less convenient and involves more steps than buying books on the Kindle. This is not a big issue for me, but some users do complain about it.

There are lots and lots of things to do on the iPad. This is a good thing... but it also means that there are always lots of things to distract you from your reading.

In my case the worst thing about using the iPad as an ereader is the backlit screen. I can stare into my computer monitor up to 12 or more hours a day - browsing the Internet, working with documents, playing games and the other things most of us use our computers for and usually I do not suffer from eyestrain. However, I have never enjoyed reading more than a few pages of an eBook at a time on an LCD monitor. Reading a book is different than browsing the Internet or working with documents because books are made up of long unbroken blocks of text.

I find that the iPad does cause eyestrain for me when reading books. Turning down the brightness level helps but it does not solve the problem, at least for me. Most of the reading apps on the iPad include a "Night Mode" feature that gives you a light colored text on dark background (as opposed to the conventional black text on white background) that does help reduce eyestrain in my case. Still, I have both dedicated ereaders and an iPad and I usually prefer to read books on the e-ink screens of the ereaders, which are no more tiring on your eyes than reading paper. I usually use the iPad for reading books that are unavailable on my particular ereaders. There are also occasions when the backlit screen can be advantageous when reading in a dark environment.

For casual readers who usually only read for no more than 20 to 30 minutes at a time the iPad will probably be fine, but if you typically read for longer periods at a sitting it may be uncomfortable for you. How much eyestrain reading long blocks of text on a backlit screen causes will vary from person to person, but for most people reading a book for an hour or two on an LCD screen is probably going to be an unpleasant experience.

While the iPad is a wonderful gadget and has many uses, when it comes to reading eBooks I think that it will probably work best for occasional or casual readers. If you read a lot you will probably find that it is not as good as a dedicated ereader for reading eBooks.

iPad Accessories - The Main Types

Along with the release of the iPad came numerous iPad accessories. These accessories range from a keyboard dock all the way down to various cables. The main, larger accessories will be discussed in this article, most cables will not be included in the review.

One of the most talked about accessories for the iPad is the iPad keyboard dock. The keyboard dock is a keyboard and dock all in one. The dock includes connectors in the rear for connecting to an electrical outlet, syncing to a computer and an audio line to connect external speakers. In addition to these dock features, the keyboard is full size and includes Apple's usual function key shortcuts to activate features on the iPad similar to the way it functions with a Mac. Apple also offers the dock and the keyboard separate as well. The dock by itself can be used for charging, holding the iPad upright, and using additional connectors in the rear of the dock. The separate keyboard is nice since it is bluetooth and can be used up to 30 feet away from the iPad.

Another popular iPad accessory is the iPad case. This case has a lot of nice features including reinforced panels for additional support that allows the iPad to stand up or can be put at an angle for easy typing and viewing of video. The interior of the case is microfiber that provides a soft surface for the iPad.

Another great iPad accessory is the camera connector kit. This kit comes with two connectors, the first allows you to connect a digital camera via USB cable to the iPad and the other connector allows you to put your SD card directly into the connector to download photos on the iPad. Both are very easy to use and small enough to carry with you when traveling.

There are a couple cables worthy of mentioning for the iPad. One is the 10W USB power adapter and the other is the iPad dock to VGA connector. The 10W USB power adapter does come with the iPad when purchased new, however it can be purchased separate as well. This cable simply provides an easy way to charge your iPad by plugging it into an electrical outlet. The VGA connector on the other hand is great for connecting the iPad to a larger viewing screen such as a television, projector or monitor. This is a nice feature for watching video and viewing photos. As you can see there are a variety of iPad Accessories to choose from. Regardless of the reason for using the iPad, these accessories will provide additional features such as viewing video on your TV or syncing photos from your digital camera with the iPad. These accessories give the iPad the additional functionality and flexibility for almost any use.

I am an iPad enthusiast, I enjoy technology and free things like the free iPad.

The Apple iPad in Manufacturing

The iPad is essentially an iPhone 'on steroids'. Weighing in at 1.5lb (0.68kg) it has a 9.7" multi-touch screen, speaker, microphone, compass, accelerometer, (so it knows if it's being tilted and rotates the screen accordingly), Wi-Fi (the faster 802.11n standard) and Bluetooth. It comes with three storage capacities built in - 16GB, 32GB and 64GB, and is also available with 3G, allowing for internet access when outside of a Wi-Fi environment. It's powered by Apple's own A4 processor which has been specifically designed for the iPad/iPhone operating system and offers 10 hours of runtime and a month standby. Most importantly, it's downwardly compatible with almost all of the iPhone's 140,000+ apps, which means that if you already have an iPhone, as soon as you buy an iPad and plug it in all of those apps will be available on there as well. Although it has an on-screen keyboard that may not appeal to many, it's not far removed in size to a laptop keyboard, and there is an external keyboard accessory for use when desk-based.

Let's start by covering what the iPad can't do. It's not a PC or a Mac and doesn't run Windows or Mac OS, or offer multi-tasking (although the rumour mill suggests that the latter may be addressed in future updates). On the iPhone the OS is locked down to the point that each third party application can only store information in their own 'sealed' area, unlike a PC where 'My Documents' can contain every file type and be accessed by all applications. It's likely that the iPad will continue this tradition, with Apple already confirming that it will rely on iTunes for syncing with a PC. Also, due to a long running spat between Apple and Adobe, the iPhone/iPad does not support Flash, which rules out access to any websites that rely on it. Apple has been criticised and applauded in equal measure for ring-fencing access to their hardware and software. While it considerably restricts third party development flexibility, it does provide an extremely stable user experience which, unlike a Windows machine, does not degrade over time as more software is installed.

During Apple's launch it was clear that Apple's own 1GHz silicon was delivering quite a punch. Applications launched instantly and graphically intensive tasks ran smoothly. Couple a fast processor with a large rotatable touch screen and you have a product that lowers the technical knowledge usage barrier and can provide an intuitive user interface which 75m iPhone users already know how to use. For example, recently I reverted back to my previous smartphone - using the menu system was like wading through treacle and it was missing many of the additional apps that I'd come to rely on. The biggest difference was speed of information retrieval. For frequently performed tasks such as retrieving a contact, checking email or a quick web search there is no comparison. Tasks that I achieve with the iPhone within 15-20 seconds I would not have seen change out of a minute, if not more on the other phone, and this is likely to improve on the iPad.

What tasks could the iPad perform?

The key here is to identify what it does as well, or indeed better than existing technologies. In their launch event Apple demonstrated iPad versions of iWork, their office suite (covering word processing, spreadsheets and presentations), with each application being available for just shy of ten dollars. While you probably won't get all of the extra templates, clipart and additional bloat that comes with traditional Office suites you could argue that most people don't use many more features than font sizing or basic formulae. The iPad ships with the same basic PIM apps as the iPhone e.g. Calendar, Contacts, Email (including MS Exchange support) and Notes, all of which will sync with a PC or Mac through iTunes. The iPhone configuration utility allows enterprise deployment, providing easy configuration for individual business settings such as email and VPN access. So for the majority of users it will tick the basic office requirements.

As a presentation tool the iPad excels. It can be connected to an external display, but would equally be suited for one-to-one presentations, ideal for sales staff or board meetings. Data retrieval is also a strong suit; it provides quick access to document, image, audio or video libraries, doing away with the need for storing large amounts of paper. Expect to see estate agents with iPads under their arms from April onwards! It would be equally at home in a manufacturing design office, providing a quick method of viewing product images or technical information.

The iPad supports the popular ePub electronic document format. Publishers will quickly move books, magazines and newspapers over to the format, so people will soon become accustomed to reading on the device as opposed to traditional paper-based media. This will provide companies with an easy way of creating large catalogues in a format that users can digest in a traditional manner. Companies that produce catalogues (such as electronic components or manufacturing consumables) will no doubt warm to this as printed versions are very expensive to produce, and although they will already have full e-commerce on their websites, there is a reason why they still produce printed version - many people still prefer to view information in a book-style format. This would also lend itself well to stock control, providing stores staff with a simple checklist interface when performing stock checks.

All versions of the iPad have the accelerometer and compass facilities, and the 3G version opens up further possibilities, as it includes assisted GPS. Many of us already take the likes of Google maps on our mobiles for granted, but when GPS is embedded into a device implemented at enterprise level this stretches the boundaries further. Imagine an application that provides relevant information to a user when they arrive at a specific location; perhaps a salesman visiting a prospect/customer, or branch data when HQ staff visit. Devices that 'know where they are' could also be used to direct the user to items of interest/relevance around them, although the sensitivity is not good enough for this to locate items on a shelf, for example, and GPS does not always work inside buildings.

Integrating the iPad to custom requirements

If you walk through the stages of production within a manufacturing organisation and analyse the role of software at any given part, most of these relate to the supply of information; either to or from the user. Whether it be in the store room, by a machine tool, booking goods out or back in from subcontractors, despatch and through to accounts. This information will either be fed into an enterprise system (MRP, ERP) or to a more localised system (stock control database, machine tool control software, order management etc), and this is where the work needs to be done if the iPad is to be of any real use. Many software companies are using Apple's software development kit (SDK) to develop apps to interface with their products. Although these apps are often lightweight versions of their PC cousins and optimised for the iPhone it is likely that these will be reworked to take advantage of the iPad's display. We can expect apps covering all mainstream software applications, however more niche products are unlikely to have iPhone/iPad sibling products, as the take up rate would not warrant the development costs.

What if you cannot develop or obtain an app to connect to an existing software system? There is a third option; we have already ascertained that the iPad is a competent web client (if Flash isn't required). Invariably the system you want to connect to will have a database, which in turn will have ways of getting data in and out (generally using common connectors such as ODBC), so a relatively simple solution would be to build an intranet that communicates with the application. Windows Server comes with IIS (Internet Information Services), and any of the web centric languages (PHP, Cold Fusion,.NET/ASP etc) will be able to connect to a database easily. The iPad (or any other device) could then interact with the software using a web browser. Although this still requires a considerable level of technical skill, it's likely to be a far easier and more cost-effective skill set to source than developing an iPad-specific app and will result in a more flexible solution that other devices can take advantage of. It would also be easier to manage from a security aspect, as the network administrators take care of user access control to any given data resource on the local network.

If Apple is serious about the business angle of the iPad they will need to provide companies with more information on controlling user access, tracking usage and locking down features on it (which, to be fair they have done with the iPhone), otherwise no doubt the wide range of available games will find their way onto it and eat into productivity. Another major concern is that they will be a target for theft. It's likely that you will be able to password protect it and, as with the MobileMe service on the iPhone, locate it if stolen (3G only) or remotely wipe it, but that's little consolation.

In recent years Apple products have become über chic and this is something many businesses will want to harness. It's more likely that iPads will find homes in the boardroom than on the shop floor, due to environmental factors alone, but for facilities that already keep their production areas spotless this could be seen as the device that makes them look just that little bit more cutting edge than their competitors.

Summary

The debate is raging fiercely in the blogosphere as to whether the iPad is a 'game changer' or not, but in my opinion it is. Apple said that they would not release anything equivalent to a tablet or a netbook until they could deliver something that did everything well. Given what is already known about the iPhone and what we currently know about the iPad, reasonable assumptions can be made about the iPad's suitability for a given task. There will be of course many tasks that will always be faster or indeed only possible on a desktop/laptop than the iPad, but as a high speed, highly portable (and highly desirable) 'media consumption device' the Apple iPad will set the benchmark by which all others will be measured.

How to Set Up Your New Apple iPad

With the holiday season starting in just a few weeks, there is already a big holiday buzz about the Apple iPad. The iPad is bound to be one of the most popular holiday gifts this season. Whether you are looking for an electronic book reader, the latest apps, a portable media player, or just a fun new gadget, the iPad will be making its debut in many households this December.

Now that you have gone through your ceremonial "unboxing", it is time to use iPad. If you aren't familiar with Apple iPods, iPhones, or most technologies, this could be a very frustrating task. Fear not as I am here to help show you how to set up your Apple iPad and jump right in on some Apple app fun!

The first thing you want to do after your iPad unboxing is to connect your new baby directly to your computer with the USB cable. Open your iTunes software once you are connected to the computer. If you don't have iTunes, you will want to download it from Apple's website before you connect your iPad. iTunes is free fairly easy to set up.

Once your iPad is connected to your iTunes you will be asked to register. This may be where you experience your first hiccup in the process. If the iPad is not connected properly it is likely your version of iTunes is out of date. Just go ahead and update your iTunes and you should be fine upon restart.

You will be asked to register your iPad once iTunes recognizes it. Make sure you register because if something goes wrong with your iPad, you may be delayed in receiving a remedy from Apple if it isn't registered. So go ahead and register your iPad.

Next you will be asked to restore your iPad to its original state or set up your iPad as new. Obviously this is a brand new iPad so you want to choose the option which lets you "Set up a new iPad." Keep in mind if you do want to restore the iPad it could take quite awhile. So in the future if you do have to do a restore, make sure you set up your restore at a time where you don't need immediate access to your iPad.

The next step will be to sync your media. You will be asked to set up iTunes so it automatically syncs. I choose not to do this with any of my Apple devices. If there is one fault with the iPad it is that the iPad apps are huge and you will fill up your iPad fast. So choose carefully when it comes to syncing your media. If you have a ton of movies in your iTunes, you may want to only sync the movies or videos that you intend to watch right away. Otherwise you are going to fill up your iPad quick with a bunch of files you won't be using in the immediate future. My recommendation is to sync your media manually so you can pick and choose what you want on your iPad.

Email set up is one of the easiest things to set up on the iPad. It is as simple as selecting your email program, entering your login information, and then you are good to go.

I would also recommend taking some time and searching the Internet for Apple iPad tricks and tips. There are a ton of really cool things that some iPad users have done with the device. There are things you would never dream of that some people have figured out and posted step by step tutorials online for new iPad owners like you.

Now you are set up to receive email, download apps, and watch your favorite media on your new toy. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the wonderful world of this amazing piece of technology. It will change your life and before you know it, it will be time to make a race to the store for Apple's next version of the iPad.

Where to Buy an iPad Online? Order a WiFi iPad With Or Without 3G!

If you are asking yourself, where to buy an iPad then you already know what you are looking for - the new Apple gadget that everybody wants. The only question is where can you buy an iPad at the cheapest price and the safest way you can do that. I will highlight a few options available to people living in the US, as well as Canada and eleswhere to buy the iPad. Let's start of with the most traditional method.

Buy an iPad from Apple Retail Outlet Stores

Apple now has 284 Retail Stores worldwide, of which 14 are in Canada. All of which are situated in high population areas and are serving over 30,000 customers on a daily basis. Most people find it conventional and convenient to get a hands-on feel of and try out new features of the product they are purchasing which in this case is the iPad.

Buy an iPad from the Apple Online Store

One thing Apple is known for is quality. Around the globe, whenever you hear an Apple product, you know it will be the same quality and consistency that you will find anywhere else. Thus, many regular customers of Apple have no problem buying their products from Apple.com and it is no different for the iPad. You can order your iPad from the Apple Online Store and either have it delivered to your address or to your favorite Apple Retail Store that is closest to you, so you can pick it up whenever you like. The best part is you have the same options that one gets when buying from a store - you can pick the memory of you iPad (16GB, 32GB or 64GB), whether you want just the WiFi or WiFi and 3G, any accessories you might want - iPad Keyboard Dock, iPad Case, iPad Dock, iPad USB Power Adapter, the AppleCare Protection Plan and more. Best of all, you get free shipping to the US for a limited time!

Buy an iPad Online from Amazon

Selling over 500,000 products daily, Amazon has a reputation and customer-confidence that is hard to beat in today's online market. You can buy an iPad from Amazon at the same price offered by the Apple Online store but they have a much larger store and options on accessories, iPad Cases and iPad Covers in many colors that Apple.com might not carry. Plus, you can buy anything else with your Amazon iPad order and include it in your free shipping purchase! A great way to get a cheap bargain for your iPad and other electronics, books, DVDs you might have been wanting to buy for some time.

Final Thoughts

Regardless of the route you decide to take to buy an iPad, be it online or at the Apple retail store, one thing you can be certain is you will pay the same price anywhere you shop. Apple has always maintained that their prices are consistent everywhere and the same will apply to the iPad tablet. However, it is possible to get a cheap iPad on eBay, if someone decides to sell their own iPad. Of course, they have the choice of making the price high or low compared to what they paid, and depending on the condition of the new or used iPad. You can find out more about cheaper iPads at the links below.
